So why don't all believers care about the mythology section? Does your god have the answer for it?
Some reasons:
1) Some are interested in religions
2) Some think religions affect their life daily
3) Some are just curious and would like to know

Any atheist who writes or argues about atheism is really involved with their atheism. (An agnostic typically goes there way without much interest in something they think cannot be proved).
For the involved atheist, atheism IS a religion. Like all religions, it is based on unprovable premises and forms the basis for the person's belief system.
Many people are evangelical about their belief system. They want other's to believe as they do because they feel their belief is "right" and helps them live "right" lives. Most of us also are "against" other belief systems that teach against our system. Nobody likes to be told they are wrong and hell-bound.
Atheism, Secular Humanism, and many other un-Godly belief systems still have all the hallmarks of religion.

You can answer yourself by thinking about why an oncologist cares so much about cancer. I mean, here's a healthy person, who spent hundreds of thousands of dollars to get an education, and then spends most of the time figuring how cancer works! Is it your opinion that the only people who should give cancer any thought are those with tumors?

I'm athiest...
I don't have a problem with religion until someone tries to tell me how good it is and starts questioning MY beliefs, etc. I never question a religious persons beliefs... EVER. Everyone is entitled to their own. My husband is Catholic and I've gone to church with him. Religion just isn't a big deal to me. But I do know what you mean... a lot of Athiests get all bent out of shape when someone just mentions God, or Jesus or whoever for that matter!

I care about religion because the majority of my family cares, but as it pertains to Y!A, I come to this section to argue with the people who care so much about Atheists, for whatever reason they have to care. I love Fundie Christian questions!

help help, I'm being persecuted!
Please, lady, lay off. If you spout sky daddy nonsense that is freedom of speech but if we say that's a delusion suddenly we're oppressing you. Sorry, but that is not how it works.
Grow a pair, you persecution complex nitwit.

First off.. they do not care about religion.
They are simply stuck putting up with all the religious people trying to force them to hear about it.
I wish people would stop forcing there beliefs on everyone else.

Maybe because the religious majority in the western world is trying to make laws and policies based on a 2000 year old fairy tale. They want to take away personal freedom and stand in the way of real progress.
