Being a good person; being a good theist doesn't necessarily make you a good person. Religious tenants can be taken far too literal and become twisted and destroy the line between what is good and what isn't.

Good is relative to the person doing the judging. God is the judge and nobody is good. However I would rather be a good Theist, because if your a good Theist, then you are doing all you can do to follow after what is right.

Interesting...
Being a good theist generally makes one a good person.
Being a good person will never make you a theist of any kind.

A good theist would be a good person and a good person would be a good theist; otherwise you are neither. Right? If you mean person as body, mind and soul then yes.

Being a good person. I'm pagan, so being a good theist probably doesn't matter.

a good theist,

it matters not in what is in this world but what is in the next.

however to be a good theist one would have to be a good person.

Being a true theist, that is to surrender one's will to the Will of the One True God by studying the Holy Books and putting the sacred verses into practice.
Without this learning and practicing, no man can be a good man.
The definition of good by God is universal. Obedience to His counsels is good.
The definition of good by man is terribly varied. Obedient to this man's counsels may be good to this man and not good to the other man.

for me it is both, I wont say that all we hear and read from religion is true, but I do hope that it is, being a good person really is not a hard thing to do, I simply believe in do unto others as you would have them do unto you, and above all be happy.
