A man in my church healed a woman's knee last month. We had all gathered on a corner downtown to hold a public prayer meeting on the 25th anniversary of Roe vs. Wade, when an elderly woman hobbled past with a walker. She started talking to this man and he offered to pray for her. He had another woman from our church place her hands on the woman's knee while he prayed. That woman left there walking! An hour later, a friend of hers came back and said she hadn't seen her friend walk without her walker in years. It was awesome!

Ok, sorry, but I am not a Christian. But I feel the answer to your question is YES. It is possible, but I think it is a gift many are born with and everyone has the capability if they can tap into it. I am a pagan (witch to be precise) and I also believe in the power of the mind, and if you really put your mind and heart into it you could develop the ability. It is probably not something that will occur overnight, but it is possible to learn. My experience is that I was blessed (cursed) with being an empath, I help people when emotions over run them. Comfort the grieving and give emotional support to the ill. In my case I was born with it, so I guess, in a sense, I am helping to heal the spirit. Like I said, I am not a Christian, but Christian or not I would pray (or whatever you wish to call it) for guidance, support and the help of TPTB (God in your case) to aid you on developing this ability.
Good luck on your quest.
BTW if you ever ask a question stating "something only" you will get a lot of replies from others. But I will never answer unless I have something positive in response.

you may be a disciple of Christ, but you are not an apostle. An apostle is someone who was part of his inner circle and actually walked and lived with Jesus.
Jesus gave His apostles special powers to heal, raise the dead, preach with miracles following, and other things. Neither Jesus nor the apostles passed these powers down after their deaths.
Coveting such a gift seems like an attempt to glorify yourself, not Christ. No one has the power to heal by laying on of hands. God can and does heal, but it is not necessary for Him to have anyone lay hands on people to do that.
Sorry if I burst your bubble.

Does Jesus walk with you daily? If He does, then when you lay hands on the sick and ask Him - He will heal them. If you can get Jesus in the room with you, Jesus will do the healing of those He wants to heal. He doesn't always heal and sin has a lot to do with healing. A curse without a cause does not come.
Henry W. Wright wrote "A More Excellent Way" a book about spiritual roots of disease and pathways to wholeness. He has seen many people healed by Jesus. Pleasant Valley Church, Inc. 4178 Crest Highway, Thomaston, GA 30286 1-706-646-2074

"Healing" is a spiritual gift, as described in 1 Cor. 12.
Healing goes on today, through individuals who have been gifted by the Holy Spirit to heal. I know of a young man who heals people regularly. He is a Christian who converted from Islam.
Oddly enough (!!!) his name is Moses.
But I take issue with you calling yourself an Apostle. The term is reserved for those men who Jesus touched and appointed personally. The 11 and Paul were the only ones. For you to use the term in describing yourself indicates that you will probably not be gifted with the greater gifts.

Sorry, pagan who cant resist.
A friend of mine was in labor (she is christian) and was having a difficult time of it. The child wouldn't 'turn' the correct way, and had the umbilical wrapped around it's neck. The Dr's and nurses were all stressed. In a rush of contraction, my friend scream "Jesus CHRIST, Please turn this child". The Dr's and Nurses were amazed when, the child turned, as if by a hand. The child was freed in time, but was considered a miracle baby.
Now, this isn't the healing you are talking about, but still a miraculous story.

You could get attuned to Reiki as a beginning. That would help purify your "internal energy system", thus helping with your ability to channel "healing energy". Actually, i believe Jesus received attunements along these lines while studying with the Essenes, a quite mystical Jewish sect. Also, i believe he received yet further such attunements while studying in India and the Far
east with Buddhist, Taoist and Hindu masters during his "lost years". So, you'd be in good company with this approach ;-)

Spritual healing is a fraudulent effort meant to deceive those who are truly ill. Look to James Randi when he exposed faith healer Peter Popoff who was one of those whackjob christian faith healers who laid hands upon people and swore he was healing them through the "power of God."
Better yet, look to PT Barnum who said it best "There's a sucker born every minute." This is especially true for those in desperate need.

Yes, I have laid hands on others and they were delivered. It is for today and always. God never changes. I have witnessed great healing and miracles. It is all about faith, truth, compassion.
