Muslims follow their religion. Hindus follow their religion. But it seems so many people in this country who call themselves Christians don't even follow Christianity. They just call themselves Christians because their grandparents were Christians, but the last time I checked, being a Christian means actually following Christianity. Having Christian heritage doesn't make oneself a Christian by definition. They just re-write an imaginary Bible in their heads instead of listening to God's actual word. "Nobody's perfect" isn't an excuse to not follow the simplest rules of your religion, you know, stuff like not committing violent crimes, not screwing out of wedlock, or actually putting at least a little effort into raising kids if you have any. This is a free country, so you don't have to be a Christian, but please don't call yourself a Christian if you really aren't one. For example, Paris Hilton calls herself a Christian. Mr. Divide the country and does the opposite of what he says is a Christian. Give me a &#&$ break.

But they're Americans, right? This is a big Western problem.

I think you need to go back and re-read your history books -- including the recent ones. Not all Muslims follow their religion. . .do the words "9/11" ring a bell? And apparently the caste system in Hinduism is alive and well:

So did the people who lynched the lower caste men for the sin of skinning a dead cow justify their actions by "Nobody's perfect"? Do the Muslims who bury an "immoral" woman up to her waist and then stone her to death qualify as exemplary members of their religion?

There are going to be extremists and hypocrites in any religion. So how about giving us a $#&$ break and stop pointing fingers at the one group that you've decided you don't like -- the Christians.

Note: I am not bashing Islam, Hinduism, or any other religion. There are good people and fanatics in any group.

i'm christian, and atheist say issues approximately my faith for all time, the evolutionist attempt to bash my creationist ideals to and wiccans, oh my gosh, they write me for all time, attempting to get me to tell me i replace into by no potential a genuine wiccan, that i do no longer comprehend something approximately witchcraft, yet you do no longer see me complaining do you??? I basically think of that as quickly as i replace right into a mormon i replace into very decieved and that i'm bored with the mormons missionaries who won't take "NO" for an answer and proceed to knock on my door. Its no longer a count of bashing the church, its a count of what I went via replace into surprisingly undesirable and a few human beings would desire to hearken to it, i'm specific, and that i'm specific that different peoples adventure with the church is a delightful one, SO in the journey that your CHURCH IS the genuine CHURCH THEN THE undesirable ONES interior the CHURCH shouldn't harm YOUR CHURCH, appropriate???

Funny you should mention that heritage does not mean that you are a certain religion if you do not follow it. You should tell this to the Baptists running all the messianic operations that label themselves "Jewish" when they are in fact Christian missionaries..
Any group that reveres Jesus is by definition NOT Jewish, yet to try to sell new converts, they sure pretend really hard.....

Your assumptions are somewhat premature as I'm sure you haven't even met half of the worlds Muslims, Hindus or Jews.

My best friend is Muslim. He smokes, drinks, and never attends Mosque. He still considers himself a Muslim. I wouldn't argue otherwise.

My neighbor is Hindu. He has an altar in his house (its beautiful!). He also makes the BEST HAMBURGERS on the block!. I wouldn't deny his "hinduness".
