I've heard it before, but the way I heard had the brunette and the red-head getting the gold. They can think it's true all they want, it doesn't have to be true.
I've also heard something like dolphyk23's joke, but it has a smart blonde and a brunette. The brunette picks it up, because the smart blonde doesn't exist.
