He is big enough that it should pass on its own, but it is probably best to give him about 1/2 of a cup of Hydrogen Peroxide to make him vomit it up. You can dilute it will chicken broth if he will not drink it on his own.

Take him to the emergency vet as soon as possible. Foreign objects can cause HUGE problems, even in big dogs. You don't say how bg it is, but let's say it was tennis ball sized. That's enough to cause blockages and kill intestines. Even golf-ball sized can cause problems, as someone already posted. Do not give food or water until you get to a vet - surgery is very likely. The earlier you see a vet the cheaper it will be because if you wait too long there will be more damage, which makes the surgery more expensive. There is a slight chance it will pass, but you really need to go see the vet to determine if it is likely to pass or not. If you're lucky, it will still be in the stomach and a vet near you will have an endoscope and can retrieve it that way. It's not as invasive as surgery, and much cheaper in most cases. but this is really only an option if it is still in the stomach, which means every minute counts! We had a client not too long ago that had a dog that swallowed a quilting pin, so we sent her somewhere else to get it out with a scope(we don't have a scope), and by the time she got there (20 minutes later) the pin was in the small intestine and had to be surgically removed.

Okay, first DON'T give him hydrogen peroxide, it's mineral oil that makes him vomit. If it is a very small ball like a cat toy it may pass within a day or so. If however your dog seems constipated you're in for that expensive surgery. Or save yourself a lot of trouble and worry and call the vet.

I would go to the vet. I knew someone with a pit bull and she ate a base ball, most of it was pooed or barfed up.

How large is the ball? If it's a small one, give him 10ml of Peroxide by mouth to induce vomiting. If it is a fairly large one, you need to call the vet.

Well you could wait and watch his stools and hope it passes (it may, depends on the size) or you can contact your local er vet and ask them to remove it endoscopically. Not cheap, but probably cheaper than surgery will be if he gets ill, plus no long recovery time or complications.

Call a vet! And quickly! Your dog may be in danger, and the vet knows best.

A rubber ball? Whole? Oh my god. Call your vet right away before it gets blocked in his digestive system. He could die. I'm serious.
