well, thats a tough question. Ususally business', have back doors. If this is a back room, how far away is the back door? Anyone could go in that room and smother that baby or take that baby away and out the back door.
You would'nt hear a thing , even with a baby monitor.
Maybe you can hire a baby sitter that can come and stay in that back room with the baby, like someone you know or a relative. Good Luck!

i see what the problem would be, but id get a baby monitor and keep with you just in case, make sure doors are locked, and that you can hear him, should be fine

I don't think you should. When you are working in a store, you might not be able to hear if he cries. Also, you might not notice if someone slips into the back room. I don't think it's safe.

If you have a moniter, a confortable crib, blankets, and a pillow it is fine, but if I were you, I'd put him in a BEDROOM. And I'd show him some light, too, so that way he could at least turn out....normal.

As long as you have a safe area for him to sleep in and a monitor he should be fine...Safe being that he has a playpen of somesort, there is nothing that he can get into...and that it is warm.......

I would think everything would be fine as long as you take all the safety precautions. AND AS LONG AS CHILD PROTECTIVE SERVICES DON'T FIND OUT. They would just make it seem like something really bad.
