Okay so usully guys I've dated have been a lil sex mad. I've been with my guy 6 months and although we have sex, I always initiate it. He never seems to really 'want' me. He said he does its just he just not really that bothered about sex? I need to feel a lil bit craved sometimes! An insight into this behaviour anyone? Is he telling the truth or is he hiding something?

Sounds like he just is more the intimate type, not all about sex, that can be good, but depends on how much your drive is, which can eventually break you two up. If you really love the guy give him a chance. Like you said your use to the other type of guy who is a little over sexed, so now you found the one who isn't and you think somethings wrong with him. It's just about what you truly want in a relationship. What's more important to you? Good Luck

Just because men are stereotyped as h0rney all the time, doesn't mean all men are..some guys just aren't that into sex for whatever reason.
Of course, sometimes a guy isn't into sex with his regular partner because he's getting some elsewhere....if he's always been this way with you though, chances are he's just a guy without a very strong libido.
Have you talked to him about how you feel with regard to wanting to feel wanted/craved sometimes? Perhaps if he was aware that it's important to you for him to at least sometimes show he wants you, he may make the effort.

Taking from my own experiences (I have many girl friends - but as friends) Sexually, I don't associate that with them - maybe cause we met under different circumstances and hung together for different reasons. So that perception that he has of you may be what is hindering his wanting you. You've been with this guy for 6 months. They say that you first need to build a friendship before the sex gets good as both are more comfortable with each other. If he isn't "comfortable" for some reason, performance suffers. He knows it right off. He needs to "lust" after you.
I had one lady friend who had the same temperment as myself, saw life the same way, enjoyed doing the same things as I did....but I could not see her anymore than a "best bud" She was in sexual need,,which I did not pick up on and did it with someone else. That ended the relationship cause her new boyfriend didn't want me around.
What can I say, my view of her did not change.
Maybe he doesn't find you attractive in that way?

YES. I don't to assume that he is cheating but there is definitely something going on that you don't know about. He could just be really uncomfortable and insecure with his own moves.
Go to a sex therapist with him. The best thing you can do is talk openly about this subject.

My girlfriend has a higher sex drive than I do.
She wants sex all the time. This might sound like the ultimate dude fantasy but not for me.

He may have a low sex drive, or maybe he's just not into you. If you want this relationship to last, you'd better have a discussion with him about it. Otherwise, things may not change.

Different guys have differnet sex drives. Nothing might be wrong with him, just a low level of testerone.

It's not normal, I can tell you that much. Maybe he has a low hormonal level that should be looked into.
