I should NOT be eating it. I eat it and get nervous, sleepy or dizzy b/c my blood sugar swings too much. I just ate a whole box of chocolate and now I am eating ice cream. But just eating a little bit of wheat bread rather than whole grain can even do it. So I don't know what is going to happen to me in the next two hours.
So you see what has made me give up such things (when I do give them up). Also, the weight gain factor and the binge factor (the more of those things you eat, the more you eat, period).

I gave up sugar and white flour because I am diabetic. That said, I have to tell you that everyone eats sugar in one form or another in the foods they eat. You may not add sugar to the foods you eat, but most likely there is already sugar in the food. The same goes for white flour anly not as much as sugar

First off, good for you :) I hardly every have white flour now that I have switched to whole grain products. I do my best not to have sweets and I haven't had soda in almost a year, but if you notice, some foods like bread even have a few grams of sugar, so I am not completely sugar free.

Sugar is a preservative. You never find live bugs in a sugar bowl. Of course it's in everything so you can't avoid it entirely but I don't add it to anything. Also, I think artificial sugar, sweet-n-low etc., is maybe even worse. Same story goes for salt. You learn to live without them and you don't even miss them. White flour is pretty gross too. Maybe not so deadly but it tastes like grade school paste.
Sugar is a major diabetes factor. Salt causes hardening of the arteries and bone loss. White flour causes me loss of appetite because it just isn't appetizing.

I am a diabetic..natural sugar occurs in alot of food. The term no sugar added is very misleading. There may already be lot of sugar in the food. Learn to read food labels. this will help you.
