In your living room I think a dark tan or a dark gray, almost charcoal, would work well with your furniture and especially with the pewter. The dark gray would work well in your kitchen, too. Do you have painted or stained woodwork? The contrast of the dark and white woodwork would be lovely if it is a painted wood work.

You could start by selecting one wall and trying a color you think you would like. I like taupe and mocha type colors. Some shades of green might be fine with your green leather. Maybe a warm gold type color somewhere in the kitchen area.Look out your windows, is there a color that you see that you like? You could repeat it on one of your walls. It would help tie everything together.A pewter color might be interesting, but sort of cold. Look in the local paint dept for pamphlets that show a variety of rooms, see if there is a color that you like that would go well with what you have. That is the best that I can do, utimately you have only yourself to please,so take your time and you'll find something wonderful.
