So basically, this guy I know has basically been dropping all these not so subtle hints about how we should go out and hang out and stuff like that. He flirts with me a lot too and says stuff like 'you make me laugh more than anyone' 'you brighten my day' 'it'd be weird if I saw that movie alone or with guys' 'you look good everyday' 'I would go out with you'. Then today, we were sending super flirtatious smileys back and forth and he sent me one saying "Will you be my Valentine, yes or no?" I asked if he was asking and he said 'no, if I did, it wouldn't be like that.' Then he started saying how he has nothing to do on Valentine's Day and asked if we could hang out.
Does he like me or is he just looking for a body to hang out with on V-Day?

He likes you, but when you asked him outright he was embarssed and he tried to diffuse the pressure by saying that as you hadn't yet offically said yes. He didnt wan't to say outright in case you said no, he's saving his dignity.xx

"He's only about twice my age, so what's the problem?" - You must be f*cking stupid if you haven't noticed past cases between student and teacher relations. You get in trouble and so does himself. You're Jail bait! He can go to jail for a long time. You wanting him is going to make your lives difficult and very dramatic throughout your entire lives. "What should I do to make sure that we're both on the same page?" - That you can admire him and have a crush and sh*t. But you having a relationship is immoral and illegal. You can have a friendly relationship, but nothing more. "Should I make a move on him?" - NO! "Maybe tell him I'm confused on the anatomy section and see if he can show me how to do it?" - If you do that, i will call you a skank and a sl*t for even attempting to make a move on your teacher in a sexual intimate way.

It definitely sounds like this guy likes you.
I don't know of many guys that will ask a girl to hang out on Valentine's Day to just "hang out".
He's sending you hints hoping that you will return them to the point that he will be sure you will not reject him if he asks you out. It takes a lot for a guy to ask a girl out...most are terified of being rejected.
If you have feelings for this guy, make it known in not such a subtle way . . . . .this way you will be giving him sorta a green light to go.
