I'm taking my 2 boys aged 13 and 9 to Carlisle for a couple of days later this week. Does anyone have any ideas of where to take them/things to do etc? Thanks in advance.

Hmmmmm 13 and 9, thats a tricky one. Well there's a laser quest, AMF bowling, go-karting at newtown industrial estate, the cinema, there are a few child friendly pubs in Carlisle, Pippins on Lowther street, The griffin, and also Lloyd's (both on botchergate). Also Carlisle castle and tullie house if they have the attention span (i didn't when i was 9!). One more thing, the metro center in Newcastle is only about £13 return on the train, which isn't bad as this is only a short metro ride away from Newcastle city center. Hope this helps, and hope you enjoy your visit.

Ohhh I know this one !! well, I thought I did, err........ the
Bowling Alley is good, (but expensive !) th Restuarents do not
cater for any small feet, however Please get in touch
with the Tourist Info ... what we did find most exciting
was the Fur and Feather sale !!!!!! not for the squemish !!!
Apart from my views, the Lake District and all the views you
have, will far outweigh everything else, and mostly...take your breath away !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Here are so many things to do. A list of things. I think that having something fun too do would be great, but doing anything and spending time with there mother [or father] would make it much better.
