what kind of IRS law there is on releasing funds from profit-sharing after 6yrs?

the company i worked for has processed to release funds but will not,what can be done legally to force them to pay?

If this is a qualified retirement plan, they don't have to disburse funds just because you want them. You must either meet the IRS requirements for withdrawals (generally age 59 1/2 or above) or meet the requirements for disability or severe financial hardship.
