Does Vista have any thing like "Word" on it. Windows XP at least had a word processor and a spreadsheet, Does Vista have anything like that or do you have to buy an officesuite to even be able to use it?

What comes with windows vista = trouble

Please read up on vista. your current computer can only use an abbreviated version and if you want full version you will need a new expensive computer far better than those selling now and you will have to purchase all new software as current versions will not be compatible with full version of vista.

You go in for that penny and you better be ready to buy the whole pound.

Remember how every time a new computer came out everyone rushed to be the first to buy it. well now that people just upgrade and add parts and programs and never buy a new computer, they have devised vista as a new program that will force you to buy everything new.

Vista = Greed Bill Gates pledged 40 billion dollars to charity and now he wants that money back from you.

Please read everything and be sure before you buy.

It comes with basically a whole new look. And depending on which edition you different features come with it. The Best one is ultimate which has a few new things like more security and a better internet experience and to stay connected with others. Other features are basically what you can download at microsoft like windows media player, media center (which you have to buy), more games, an upgraded windows movie maker, etc. And the down side is it cost $250 dollars (although remember this is the ultimate edition) But another good edition is home premium which basically has all of what it told and in most stores is $150.

*No it doesn't come with any type of word processor not that know of. Which really sucks cause you basically have to spend like another $100 plus dollars to buy.

Bill Gates hasn't become the worlds richest man by giving things away! You'll have to buy the office suite separately.
The only things you are guaranteed to get free with any Windows OS is the usual grab bag of glitches, lock ups and blue screens of death!

While you are waiting for the VISTA problems to be fixed, get one of the free LINUX operating systems.

My favorite is UBUNTU. You also get all of the software, that you will ever need FREE!!! It has an excellent starter guide in WIKI.

You can order a CD or download it at http://www.ubuntu.com
