ok so i in summer 2005, i got caught making out with my boyfriend by my dad (who didnt know that we were going out) so he told me that i could never talk to him or see him again, but i did anyway because i love him, so then he gave me permission to talk to him again after a year, but then he took it back when he found out that i had spent 350 dollars talking to him on my cell phone, but yet again, i still kept talking to him. So now me and my boyfriend are secretly calling eachother and txting eachother when ever we can and the only people that know about it are my sister and my mom (who is ok with me and my boyfriend). So i wrote a letter to my dad like two weeks ago explaining myself and apoligizing for everything i had done and asking him for permission to let me talk to my boyfriend again. Its been two weeks and i know that he has read it, but he is choosing not to say a word about it and pretend it didnt happen. That makes me mad! What do I do????

It's not right to sneak around behind your dad's back. Worse yet, it's really not good that your mom knows and is approving but keeping it a secret from her husband. If your dad finds out, you'll all be in trouble!

Have a talk with your mom. Tell her that you love your boyfriend and are determined to maintain a relationship with him. Ask her how she can help you come up with a plan to get your father to accept it. Ask your mom if your boyfriend can come over for dinner. Maybe that way your dad can get to know him better.
Good Luck!

Well, I can tell you that going behind your dad's back is wrong and he's not going to forget it either. You have made it so your dad is going to have a hard time trusting you with anything. I think that your dad may still be conteplating what he should do.He obviously loves you. This is probably just as difficult for him as it is for you. I would wait for him to approach you with the subject. You have already said your peace with him in your letter. The ball's in his park now.

Get your mum to reason with him if she is fine with your boyfriend.
