Never give a dog people meds without a vets recommendation. Besides, if something is wrong with a dogs back the dog probably needs to see a vet anyway.

Tylenol will kill your dog. Buffered aspirin is what is recommended. My Dalmatian weighed 50 and we used to give 3 baby aspirin to her for pain every 10-12 hours. It'd be wise to start with one since it is a blood thinner. But you need to call your vet just in case and get his/her recommendation.

Check with your vet before giving your dog any kind of "people" medication. Dogs can become very ill and even die if given the wrong thing. You should have your vet check out your dog and make sure of exactly what's going on that's causing his back pain.

You should NOT give a dog any over the counter medications unless instructed by your veterinarian. Either call your vet or bring the dog to the vet so that they can prescribe an appropriate medication for dogs.

Do not give it Advil or Tylenol of any types. You can give it about a half of an adult aspirin, but it is best that you call your vet and get prescription medication.

Tylenol should NEVER EVER be given to a dog..it is Toxic!!
As for asprin it can safely be given to most dogs, however it should NEVER be given without vet authorization and in a dose prescribed by your vet. Some dogs should NOT be given asprin.
Do NOT self medicate!!!

Please DO NOT GIVE your dog TYLENOL or any other medication perscribed for humans, it is harmful to your dog. If you feel that your dog is experiencing pain in his back etc., then he should be seen and treated by a veterinarian.
