ALL KINDS OF LITTLE INSECTS HIBERNATE FOR THE WINTER INSIDE RESIDENCES. SOME "BITE AND SOME GET THEIR NOURISHMENT FROM CRUMBS OR LITTLE SPECS OF SUGAR THAT ARE DROPPED " THERE ARE VERY SMALL ANTS THAT CAN PARADE AROUND OR THERE ARE SPIDERS THAT SHOW UP AND DROP FROM THE CEILING TO NIBBLE ON US AT NIGHT. IF YOU HAVE DOGS AND CATS ,BIRDS, GERBILS, GUINEA PIGS ETC THEN THERE ARE MITES THAT BITE OR EVEN DUST MITES CAN BITE I BELIEVE. . I THINK EVERYONE HAS DUST MITES. THEY ARE VERY ITSY-BITSY. THEY HIDE IN VACCUM CLEANERS AND SOFAS AND MATTRESSES . IDENTIFYING THE BITER BY THE SORE IS DIFFICULT WITHOUT AN ANALYSIS OF THE FLUID IN THE BITE THAT CAUSES THE IRRITATION.

Check with her pediatrician. It could be spiders, bed bugs, mites, or ticks. Also, check with an exterminator depending on the outcome.
