Sorry, the only thing you can do is see the dentist. Now here's the bad news; if you wait too long the cavity could grow to become an abscess. If it becomes abscessed it will cost a lot more and be a lot more painful. Never mess around when it come to your health, see a dentist ASAP.

There is no way to "grow" your tooth back. And no there is no way to fix a cavity yourself.Take it from me you want to get it taken care of as soon as possible. See if you can set up a payment plan with your dentist. I have had 5 root canals because I didn't want to go get my cavities taken care of. Believe me if you think a $200 cavity is too expencive you wont want a $1500 root canal + crown. The longer you wait the more money you'll have to spend.

sorry, but the tooth is the only part of the human body that can't heal itself. The only way to fix it is to go to the dentist (or pull it out) :)

When the enamel of a tooth has eroded into a cavity, there isn't a way to reverse the process unfortunately...there are things on the market that will allow you to fill a cavity temporarily til you can get to the dentist but that's about it.
The only way to stave off further cavities in other teeth is to drink more milk, floss and brush regularly and well, avoid sipping over a few hours per day from coke/pepsi/anything sweetened and if you do chew sugarless gum to counteract the sweet stuff from adhering to your teeth for any length of time.
Chewing apples, carrots, etc stimulates the gums which helps keep the mouth healthier and that has a direct impact on the teeth and their health.
When brushing...ensure brushing tongue, cheeks as well as gums and teeth are done to avoid bacteria/plaque etc.
All you can do after having a cavity is ensure you work to avoid getting further cavities. Small cavities aren't very expensive to have fixed it's when they get larger and have to be root canaled or rebuilt that the dollars add up. Or you have several that need to be fixed.
Good luck...

Whenever I had a bad tooth my mom always just had it pulled if it was gonna cost a lot to fix cuz we didn't have insurance and not much money. I was lucky enough to have really crappy teeth and a lot of teeth troubles so by the time I was 15 I didn't have any teeth left. Didn't have to go to a dentist no more tho.

No, you can't repair a cavity yourself. If so, then none of us would ever go to the dentist :)
You can use sensitive teeth toothpaste (like Sensodyne) until you can afford to see the dentist.

No, at least not yet. Hopefully some day there will be a treatment like this, but at present, it doesn't exist.
If you need dental work, check with a university near you that has a dental school. You can often get perfectly good dental work done by student dentists (they are supervised by their instructors, of course!) at a much lower cost than you could from a dentist who already has his/her own practice.

I would'nt see why not. heck got any other ailments you need taken care of? i am sure you could handle maye removing an appendix or gall bladder. Doctors and dentists are a waste of money in my opinion. just get yourself a fifth of whisky, a small power drill, and and some sorta epoxy. you'll figure it out. oh yeah, get some antibiotics.
or go to the dentist, you have to remove all the cavity, you can't regrow teath. It'll run ya bout 150 a tooth, save up.
