Do you want a homemade frosting or a store bought one. If you want a store bought one, cream cheese frosting would be great on blueberry muffins. If you want to try making a glaze, you can always add some powdered sugar and milk together, heat it on the stove and make a glaze for your muffins - oh boy, now I am getting hungy.

Well when I do blueberry muffins this is how I top them. I melt 1 stick of butter in the microwave and fill a small bowl (such as a cereal bowl) with granulated sugar (1/2 to 3/4 cup). Dip the top of the muffins in the butter and then dip them in the sugar. This makes a sparkly rich topping that seals the moisture in and gives them a little extra punch of butter and sugar. It also makes them indescribably pretty. Good Luck.

I would consider making a very simple powdered sugar glaze for my muffins. Mix 1 T softened butter, 1 tsp vanillla, 1 cup powdered sugar, and 3 T milk until blended. Add more milk 1 tsp at a time until you get the consistency you want. Have you also considered a streusal topping? Mix brown sugar, chopped pecans, flour and butter and sprinkle on the batter before baking. Yum!

Just make a glaze with powdered sugar, a little water to make a thin paste, then add some juice from the blueberries or blueberry flavoring. You'll have a mildly purple glaze that goes great!!

Simple Lemon Icing:
1/2 cup powdered sugar
3 teaspoons (about) fresh lemon juice
Place sugar in small bowl. Mix in lemon juice as needed to make icing just thin enough to drip off fork.
Makes about 1/4 cup.

Why not make your own. This is also used for dipping fruit or whatever you want to dip in it. Just get a package of cream cheese, tub of whip topping, and 1 cup powered sugar. Soften cream cheese, then put tub of whip topping in and mix with mixer till it's combined good and silky, then put powered sugar and mix till you feel it's the consistency you need and it's done. Nice simple and good. You could use the LITE ones for the cream cheese and whip topping
