It sounds like you've had problems with this before in the past. That's probably not a good idea to start drinking again. What for? I have so much fun with friends when we're not drinking. Most likely, you'll end up hurting the person you want to tell. But if i were you, i wouldn't even bother starting to drink again.
But if you must. the only way is to come right out and tell them. Do not let them find out from someone else or catch you doing it.

Apparently there is a drinking problem, possibly alcoholism here, so you can tell your "loved one" all day long that the drinking won't get out of hand but if it was out of hand in the past, the chances are HIGH it'll get out of hand again.

Alcoholism is a disease...it's not something you can just decide won't get out of hand again.

If you decide to drink, and your drinking has caused problems in the past, you may be jeapordizing your relationship with your "loved one". You may have to decide which is more important, the booze or the person.

If you choose the booze, then the issue is already out of hand.

If the problems in your relationship were caused by your drinking then you need to let your loved one make the decision on whether or not they want to stay with you.

If you are choosing drinking over maintaining a stable relationship then you need to let that person go. Are you an alcoholic? Because if so you can get help.

It's up to you.

Yea right. I have heard this one before. If you are an alcoholic, then One drink is too much, and a thousand is not enough. Stay off the sauce. You quit for a reason. Just remember what those reasons are. Would it mean loosing your loved one? Leave it alone, and carry on with your life SOBER
