I really really want to experience getting a finger tattoo (and also have one cause I like the idea). problem is, which side of my finger should it get done on... facing me or facing away?

Anyone got any advice?? (preferably a tattoo artist or someone with such a tat)

Thanks

Whatever looks natural. For instance if it is a tat of jewelry, I suppose it should be tattooed as if it was being worn.

I have a smiley on my right ring finger, he smiles at me. This is so I always have a smile facing my direction. I would say it depends on what you are getting as to which way it should face. The reason I got mine facing me is because it is a tattoo for me not other people.

OUCH!! That's is going to hurt like the Dickens!
I was told by a tattoo guy to NEVER do fingers and never use Petroleum jelly....to use Neoporene{can't spell that}

i have a friend with a moustache tattooed on his finger. it is facing away from him on his index finger so he can put it up to his mouth. but whatever you want is fine.

I would think it's supposed to be facing away, because when you wear a ring, it's supposed to be facing away right?
