God Is Opposed—Why?
But why is God so adamantly opposed to it? One reason is stated at Isaiah 48:17: “I, Jehovah, am your God, the One teaching you to benefit yourself, the One causing you to tread in the way in which you should walk.” Those words come from the Author of the universal laws of nature. He knows our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual makeup. He opposes homosexuality because, among other things, it does not benefit the individual. A review of the apostle Paul’s letter to Christians living in Rome confirms this. He wrote:
“That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error. And just as they did not approve of holding God in accurate knowledge, God gave them up to a disapproved mental state, to do the things not fitting.”—Romans 1:26-28.
Note, homosexuality is called not only “disgraceful,” “obscene,” and “not fitting” but also “contrary to nature.” Regarding these verses, a report from the Church of England says: “What Paul means by ‘unnatural’ is ‘unnatural’ to mankind in God’s creation pattern. All homosexual behaviour is a divergence from God’s creation scheme.” Anthropologist Weston LaBarre called it a “frustration of one’s own and others’ essential biological nature.” This concurs with the meaning of the Greek word used in the Bible and translated “natural” or, “according to nature.”
It is no surprise that any “divergence from God’s creation scheme” reaps bad results (as man’s miserable record with the environment has shown). Homosexuals ‘receive in themselves the full recompense, which is due for their error.’ In other words, their life becomes a life of unnatural sexual aberration; hence, a life devoid of God’s approval. In addition, they may suffer physical harm because of their perversions.

examine Genesis 19:4-8 and note verses 4 and 5. that became purely area of the entire godlessness of Sodom and Gomorrah. God is angered by technique of any sin that we commit and he punishes us for going adversarial to His will. guy has in basic terms determined that some sins are worse than others . Abraham requested God in Genesis 18:31-33 to spare the lives of the persons in those cities if purely 10 God fearing human beings were stumbled on residing there(because Abraham's nephew Lot and his kin lived there) and God promised to attempt this..yet there have been not even 10 God fearing human beings in those large cities. Abraham's nephew Lot, became visited by technique of angels who were despatched to deliver Lot and his kin to protection. the lads of the city got here banging on plenty door , annoying that Lot deliver the travelers out so as that they could have their way with the travelers.. instead ,Lot promises those evil men his personal daughters to apply as they thrilled . Lot tried to warn his acquaintances of the introduction distruction yet they purely laughed at him. possibly we are headed interior of an same route with our attitudes today. God has informed us how he expects us to stay and he warns us what to assume once we do not pay interest.

It's not a sin. Homophobia is a very recent mental disease. It did not exist at the time when ancient middle eastern tales and legends like the bible were written. It's only abusive and wrong recent translations and interpretations by homophobes that are trying to make it a sin.
Homophobia is mostly present in people that are insecure about their own sexuality and have a problem coming to term with their own homosexual tendencies.

God says it is an abomination, He only uses that term in reference to homosexuality. If others ignore parts of Gods Word, what is that to you? You are responsible for doing what God tells You. Stop worrying about other peoples sin and concentrate on getting your own life right before God.

Well, in biblical times tribe size was everything, and male-male couples resulted in no new farmers/soldiers.
(The reason the bible doesn't target female-female couples is that women, whatever else they did, still belonged to husbands who would fill them with new farmers soldiers, so no loss there).
Christians say the old testament no longer applies, but then say it does; none of it makes any sense. Of course, religion makes no sense in the first place, so only illogical people believe.

Come on. You know full well what you say is not right. Why keep repeating it? The homosexual sex act is a sin and not being homosexual. If you lead a chaste and holly life then no one will have an issue with you.

Homosexuality
Genesis 13:13 And the men of Sod´om were bad and were gross sinners against Jehovah.
Leviticus 18:22 ‘And you must not lie down with a male the same as you lie down with a woman. It is a detestable thing.
Leviticus 20:13 13 “‘And when a man lies down with a male the same as one lies down with a woman, both of them have done a detestable thing. They should be put to death without fail. Their own blood is upon them.
Deuteronomy 22:5 “No garb of an able-bodied man should be put upon a woman, neither should an able-bodied man wear the mantle of a woman; for anybody doing these things is something detestable to Jehovah your God.
Romans 1:26,27 That is why God gave them up to disgraceful sexual appetites, for both their females changed the natural use of themselves into one contrary to nature; 27 and likewise even the males left the natural use of the female and became violently inflamed in their lust toward one another, males with males, working what is obscene and receiving in themselves the full recompense, which was due for their error.
1Corinthians 6:9,10 What! Do YOU not know that unrighteous persons will not inherit God’s kingdom? Do not be misled. Neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men kept for unnatural purposes, nor men who lie with men, 10 nor thieves, nor greedy persons, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners will inherit God’s kingdom.
1Timothy 1:8-10 Now we know that the Law is fine provided one handles it lawfully 9 in the knowledge of this fact, that law is promulgated, not for a righteous man, but for persons lawless and unruly, ungodly and sinners, lacking loving-kindness, and profane, murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers, manslayers, 10 fornicators, men who lie with males, kidnappers, liars, false swearers, and whatever other thing is in opposition to the healthful teaching
Jude 7 So too Sod´om and Go·mor´rah and the cities about them, after they in the same manner as the foregoing ones had committed fornication excessively and gone out after flesh for unnatural use, are placed before [us] as a [warning] example by undergoing the judicial punishment of everlasting fire.

There was an interesting editorial recently in the Wall Street Journal that posited that the reason that particular "abomination" gets picked by the fundies, is that those doing the picking are gay themselves, and their railings are just a type of transference.

What verses man chooses to accept or deny has no bearing on the truth of God's word.
He, GOD, said homosexuality was a sin.
Since there is no higher authority you can not appeal HIS decision.
