Right on! He showed those greasy punks how to get it done.He will be a force to be reckoned with. He's rested and itchin' to go.You can't beat 'sperience, and ol' Rudd got him plenty of that.Step aside snot noses, the old boys are coming thru!

Ricky Rudd and David Gilliland are teammates, Gilliland won the pole for the Daytona 500 until next week.

What is worse than a rookie and a 50 year old "has-been" on the front row at Daytona - being in the second row behind a rookie and a 50 year old "has-been" with 39 more cars behind you traveling 185 mph. With any luck they will both have to pull over to clean out their Depends and let the real race roll on without them.

I lip off about the younger guys all the time, but Ricky Rudd,Bill Elliott and Sterling Marlin deserve better than that. These guys have earned our respect ,power to the proven veterans and good luck. Here's hoping they all have a good year.

I picked RR as the dark horse fantasy driver here a week back. Now let's see who is the race winner. Watch the 31 car. It's a long season.
