Why would anybody want to cut themself? The only reason I can think of would be for attention.

I took a psychology class once in which the question was ask "What is the worse thing that can happen to a person." We guessed cancer, losing parents, auto accident, losing a boyfriend, etc. The professor said no to them all. He said the answer was "Nothing." Hence, head bangers, stupid relationships, If we are hurting we at least know we are alive. Take up a hobby, volunteer as a peer tutor or community project. Get involved with life. The best way to receive is to give unconditionally. Good luck.

The solution is simple. The circle of concern around you is too small. You need to push the circle out to include more people. These are people you care about and care for. Your need may be so big that you need to include people who you do not consider friendly or even as enemies. This will work to keep you safe and also those inside the circle of concern. Always push it out as far as you can. Find ways to make it bigger.
Little things you can do. Try giving up defending yourself in small situations, this works great. Stop keeping score is another way. Giving up being even works too. Keep working at it and you will see. If you think you need an adult counselor make that a project. Interview the counselors at school and in your faith if you have that option. You can use these connections with your friends too.

Well please don't try it. You say that your life is fine, so maybe you are just a typical teen who has gotten bored and curious and cutting is one of those things that is talked about so much these days. And sadly "cutting" has become almost trendy with young people. But don't give in to that curiosity, it will only do you HARM. Maybe getting a new hobby or interest will give you something exciting to focus on and help get your mind off cutting. But if you continue to think about cutting, talk to your parents or a trusted adult right away!

Hi,
I just wanted to say, please don't hurt yourself! I don't even know you, but you said you get good grades, which means that you have intelligence. You have the potential to make a huge difference with your life! You could be the person who finds the cure for cancer or the next president or anything. Do you have a friend or someone that every time you talk to them you feel better? Try talking to them. They will probably be able to help you remember all the great things about who you are. Also, do something to de-stress. I know that I like to run or walk or just work out. I promise you'll feel so much better afterwards. I don't know if you're into religion, but I want you to know that I'll be praying for you. Please remember how much importance you have, and that you have the right to be happy. (If you keep feeling like this, don't hesitate to ask for help...it could change your life)

oh no im sorry you are going through that :( is there something that is making you feel bad and wanting to do that? please talk to someone about it.... its never worth doing that, youll only cause yourself more pain and physical scars that will always be there to remind you. is there someone you feel comfortable taking too? it doesnt have to be a counselor though they are very good. sometimes just having a friend to talk to can make you feel better. do you have any depression? that can make you feel that way to. if you feel sad a lot for no reason or feel sad and dont know why it could be depression and the dr can give you something that will help. i hope you feel better!

its ok. Dont think that you are phyco or something. Believe me i know. You need to tell your parents. and say it over and over again, write it down, make yourself see that everything is fine. Think of the future, and how you want to live on, and see your children, and dance, and cry, and sing. think of all the good things, and the bad. make a list of all the good things. You should tell your parents. if you cannot face them, and i know how that feels, write a note, and paste it on the refrigarator while they are sleeping. and whle you are out of the house, let them read it. you need to talk to someone. if this doesnt haelp you, you need medical help, and you need to understand that this is wrong. believe me, i know.
