this guy I think is cute came into the salon for his cut the other day (another girl cuts his hair) I said hi tohim and he said hi back but used my name. Does it mean more when someone calls you by your name? as oppose to just a hello?

If he is interested he will tell you or ask you out on a date. Just because someone calls you by your first name instead of just saying, "Hello" means nothing. It is best not to read into things on a notion.

I think he noticed the name tag first than the face - no big difference, can't judge a book by its cover.

personally i don't think you can judge whether or not by the way some one says hello to you can guarantee whether they are interested in you or not! Maybe if he stared at you or constantly talks to you when your around him!

he notices you enough to know your name. so its a plus. If i called a girl that i dont know by her name, i would have an interest in her.
