I have felt better about myself lately but I still buy the same size clothes. Would like a general consensus of opinion.

No insults please

To be honest i`m the same dress size and height as you and i consider myself fat but then even when i`ve been a size 12 i still thought i was fat,so thats just my low confidence and self esteem. My friend is the same size and just a little taller but i think she looks fine.If you feel good about yourself then good and i bet you like fine as confidence shines through no matter what size you are.

"Size" or "weight" doesn't matter as much as how you look in clothes. I happen to weigh more than most size 8's (US) because I do my exercising with weights.

I am short, too, so I know that short women can easily look fatter than they are (make sure your breasts aren't sagging down -- wear an underwire bra, shorten your straps and you'll look thinner)

If you look a bit flabby (tummy sticks out, arms too fleshy, or bottom looks too wide) then you probably need some firming up, and perhaps some weight loss. That can easily be done with a easy diet (such as South Beach Diet - popular in US ) and with some exercises that involve weigh lifting (hand and leg weights). Those kinds of exercises do two things -- build muscle so that you can burn more calories and they firm you up.

The reason I like South Beach Diet is that you can either make your own food (with SBD cookbooks) or pre-made SBD meals are available in the frozen food section (Buying the pre-made food is great to take to work or just to keep you on your diet) If SBD is not available in your country's store, there probably is a good alternative diet for you.

no its not 'fat' but 5ft is on the petite side .That is something you have to break out of , try on clothes before you buy that way you may be suprised how sizes vary with different manufactures , size 14 is now considered the average size of the women of today ,so like most of us you are in the average sizing , so good luck and good to hear you feel better about yourself .

If you feel good about you then that is all that really matters. My motto .... Those who matter don't mind and those who mind DON'T MATTER ! Your dress size will not change your personality, you are who you are big or small and people perceive each other in different ways. What is fat to one is gorgeous to another and vice versa. Just be yourself and enjoy life no matter what size you are.

well in US sizes most people consider above a size 6 fat. but that's rediculus! no your not fat! i wear a size 10 and i'm not fat. as long as you feel beautiful that's all that really counts.

my wife is 5ft and gets into some 8s but is comfy in a 10. if she were any bigger i would say she was fat. she is a thin person with a bit of fat on her, you could be a larger person with little fat. i think the question you should have asked is " am i big?"

no that is Not fat!! and good for you for feeling better about yourself lately!!!!! i admire you for being able to do that and that should be good enough if YOU care about yourself and not what others think anyways! always love yourself.. and besides its not the looks that matter and anyone who thinks it is doesn't deserve to know such an amazing person as you!
