My fiance and I will be going on our honeymoon in July of 2008. We don't want to do the Hawaii or Jamaica thing... not the 'typical' tropical honeymoon. We would like to go somewhere interesting. I would like to go outside of the USA... possibly to England. We both really enjoy the mideival times and castles. We also want to go somewhere they speak English. But we are on a budget and were hoping to find a cheap package deal that included airfare, hotel, and some interesting museums or places to go. If anyone knows of a site I can visit, please let me know. Also I would love to hear about any honemoons you have gone on - where you went, how expensive it was, what there was to do, and how much fun and/or romantic it was! Thanks!

We went to Ireland on ours. We did two days of Dublin on our own them met our tour group. That a was a good way to seek the country. They speak English but some of the words they use have a different meaning than they do in America.

I remember when as we were entering the town where we were going the spend the night, the tour guide kept telling us where we could find some really good crack. After the third day of this we told him no one was looking for drugs! He asked what we were talking about. When we told him we didn't want crack he said that "crack" meant "fun or a good time."

Try CIE Tours. They are reasonable.

We went to Cancun in July, which isn't the best season, so we were given a extra effective deal. genuinely anyplace on the coast of Mexico like Cancun, Playa del Carmen, Cozumel, etc. are good honeymoon places. in case you do flow someplace like that and they have an all-inclusive option, genuinely do it! we are so happy we chosen all-inclusive for our honeymoon...It expenditures slightly extra prematurely, even though it is going to pay for itself and then some. We not in any respect had to agonize about what we ordered to devour costing too a lot funds, we were given to have all the beverages we needed, even alcoholic! We did countless the maths, and we may have ended up spending way extra if we had not lengthy gone all-inclusive. good success, and characteristic a contented honeymoon (and wedding ceremony)!

When my wife and I got married, we were very much on a budget and did not want to do the standard beach honeymoon, (we live in TX near the coast). We were able to get out of the country to Canada by flying into Seattle (cheaper than Vancouver) and renting a car along with staying modest motels. We hiked Mt. Rainer, traveled to Vancouver, redwood forest, did a whole sight seeing tour of the Pacific NW area around Seattle and Vancouver. Both Seattle and Vancouver are great cities for music, entertainment and food. Lots of great seafood in the area, especially if you get out of the cities gets very reasonable in cost. Since we were getting married in June where in Houston it was 90+ with a little humidity, it was great to get away to cooler temps and see snow at the high elevations on the mountains.

My husband and I were on a very tight budget. We went to Disneyland and our whole trip ended up costing between $2,000 and $3,000. If you want to go outside the US I can not really help you. I have only been to China and Mexico (neither are very romantic or speak english).

Quebec city, in the province of Quebec, Canada.

They speak mostly french, but are nice to english people, and you'll always find someone who speaks english anyways.

You'll be able to sleep in a castle, the "Chateau Frontenac : http://www.fairmont.com/frontenac/

They have a GREAT festival in july : http://www.infofestival.com/en/index.asp
if the date fits, you'll like it... if not, you'll still like the city !

The city and people will remind you of europe, but without the huge price tag.
It's a medium size town, large enough so that you won't be able to see everything in a week, and if you go in the old part of the city, you'll be able to enjoy your days without having to use the cab all the time.
