Then you're a teleological person. You believe that the end sometimes justifies the means. (Okay to break the speed limit to get your bleeding father to the hospital?)
If you dogmatically followed all rules, even when they were harmful, then you'd have a "deontological" view. (God says "Thou shalt not kill", so I say we must clothe, house, feed, and generally pamper this mass-murdering, baby raping monster until the natural end of his days!) Notice the word-root base? Deo, as in deity?
