I don't remember that commercial. Maybe I was too young, but watching it today was a feeling of discuss. There are so many people before us that's worked so hard for our land and we take it for granted.

Yes, it's difficult to break into the industry. There are about 80% fewer dispensaries now than there were 3 years ago because there is now legislation in most communities monitoring the dispensaries which didn't exist before. But what I don't get is why you would want to pay a "university" to learn about the industry? I have never heard of this place before. I think it's hooky. I don't see any classes that you would benefit from actually paying for vs doing independent research. And for your $10,500 you get a certificate that says you attended class (15 classes times $700 per class).

I was just talking about that commercial the other day! It made me cry too! I felt so bad for that Indian...

Hey! It is different, I remember him standing on a hill and there was all of this garbage behind him. There must have been more than one Indian commercial.

I remember. It was an anti litter PSA. That's one of things that was really driven home in 60's ... was "Don't be A Litter Bug".

It used to be that Radio and TV stations had to run a certain quantity of public service announcements ... not so anymore. The premise was that the people own the airwaves and the broadcasters use that frequency for the public good. This changed in the '80s.

I remember it well and that Indian would be crying harder than ever to see all the pollution all around the USA today. I once drove threw NY on a highway and it was totally disgusting. Thank you for the site to view.

Well I believe the premise for the commercial was that we took the land from the Indians. Remembering that the Indians had no value for money, they believe in living off the land. For the Indian to see us abusing the land was sinful to him. As it should be to all of us.

I remember this commercial. What it made me feel was that the Indians took such good care of the land and once we got it we treated it really poorly. And it made me cry too.

i remember the song of this one public service commercial concerning racial tolerance that came out around the same time as the one you mention. the words went like ...

"you've got to be taught to hate and fear
you've got to be taught from year to year
it's got to be drummed in your dear little ear
you've got to be carefully taught.

you've got to be taught before it's to late
before you are six or seven or eight
to hate all the people your relatives hate
you've got to be carefully taught."

i was was quite little when it came on the TV so don't remember the graphics of the commercial or who ran it but the song was embedded permanently in my mind
