it is absolutely possible!! the most important thing to do is to research and find a good tattoo artist that is experienced in doing cover-up tattoos. HOWEVER most tattoo artists that are really good at covering tattoos want to cover the whole thing and not just fix or disguise work by another artist. you should check around for artists and go from there.

Yeah, I've seen them do some cover-ups on Miami Ink. You might have to defer to the artist's vision--there's only so much you can do with cover-ups, but there should be some options, even if it's leaving the rose and putting a black design around it.
I've seen some great cover-ups on that show and you totally wouldn't know that they were hiding something else. But see if you can find somebody who's good at it--some are better than others at seeing ways to camoflauge and cover up stuff.

Talk to a tattoo artist about doing a cover up and on how to work with the rose. If it is possible they can find a way to make it work.

any good artist can do a cover up. I have seen alot of people get tribal to cover a name with. I had a plain heart outline with the name Mike in it, we split, I had it blacked in and purple wings added. You cant even tell it said Mike. I must add that I ended up marrying him, LOL and we have been together for 15yrs now.

I have a ffriend who lasered all of his tats. Try it. If not get it covered. ESPECIALLY if it causes a problem in a relationship! Go to a catholic hospital (or any religious hospital), tell them your catholic, tell the you want to get rid of your tattoos for a religious reason. they cannot deny you help. You will for sure get them lasered for free. Next time dont get anyone's name tattooed!! Ive been married for 4 years and still think about it. Or just try to get a cover up. It seems like it will have to be something big.

Yes find a really good tatto artist and he can cover it up with another tat. possibly more roses. I know several people and they showed me tats that were of a name but were covered up wit another tat. My man has a tat on his chest of his exwifes name he had it covered but i still see it though. I think if yo know it is there then you will notice but everyone else will not. good luck

Yeah, I know a lot of people that had a name tattoo that they changed their name about. See a tattoo artist, they can tell you what kind of tattoo or help you design one that will cover it nicely.

Its possible but it would be tacky... you could get laser skin resurfacing but even after that you can still see it...Tattoos are a pemanent life changing decision..Shoulda thought about that a long time ago! Sorry! Try getting the name turned into vines or something..thats about the only thing i can think of.. Why would you have some one elses name tattooed on you any way? thats gross.. Try burning it

It can be done but it is also cost good money. The problem is to find someone who can do this and to make sure they can blend the ink well enough. I wish you luck with this.
