He was drunk and stupid so I dumped him, now I'm trying to get back with him and his is hard to read. I text him and he write back, but very short answers.His answers are really nice, but not flirty. He doesn't call me or text me unless I write him. Do you think he has moved on or do you think he is afraid he will get hurt by me again. The other part of this story is when I dumped him I was really mean and insulting to him for drinking so much everyday.

It sounds like a little of both. If hes drinking to the point of being drunk, then he well deserved everything you told him. Your words were a hellof alot nicer than if he would have gotten into an accident with some family in his state. If he feels hurt by you then he better learn to get over it. Until he gets his drinking under control he willprobably hear alot of the same by alot of people. I would say its more that you said something to him about his drinking problem then what you said thats keeping him away from you. Stick to your guns, if he truly has a drinking problem, you dont need to be around him til he clears it up. The best thing you can do is helphim acknowledge his problem and get helpfor it before its too late. So dont worry about hurting his feelings, your words may just save his life oneday. Goodluck

It seems to me that he have gotten over it. Depends on how long ago you dumped him. If he was playing hard to get, he wouldn't do it for long before he'd get tired of it and just contact you. If he's not playin hard to get, he may be hurt and be waiting for a proper apology. He obviously respects you because he replies to your texts nicely. if he has a drinking problem, he is the only one who can help him. People with an addiction, see nothing is more important than getting their fix every day. You need to arrange to meet up, explain yourself, how you felt second best to alcohol and how you miss your relationship together, apologise for being so harsh and mean but say it was just frustration and anger that made your true thoughts come out wrong.If you don't get back together, agree to remain friends because I think ye have something special, a bond. Tell him you're worried about his health and well being and if he needs any help from you, you're there for him. I hope it works out for you. The most important thing to remember is to do whatever makes YOU happy. You deserve to be happy. Don't let anyone tell you any different, ok.

Well, I think he has moved on. But if u really want him back, tell him ur sorry for beening so mean to him! Try flirting with him once and a while! I know, its hard to get a read on him without knowing him. You were clearly close enough to him to date him at one point can you not sit down with him and say what you would like and let him decide? I hope hes stopped drinking or at least hope that if he hasnt that you realize that if you want him back and he hasnt you dont have any right to complain about it ever again.

Its hard to get a read on him without knowing him. You were clearly close enough to him to date him at one point can you not sit down with him and say what you would like and let him decide? I think that he honestly is confused see the girls always look for signs and sometimes we pick up things that weren't meant to be taking in that direction. The only real way that your gonna know if he wants to try it again with you is if you point blank ask him. But what probably makes him confused is he hasn't changed is drinking ways so why do you want to be with now! GOOD LUCK!

Honestly to me i wouldn't want to go with a guy that drinks alot cause drinking i dont like usually when i be around pepole who drink i dont want to be around them cause most men who drinks alot sometimes have a bad attitude try to boss u around cause they drunk and if u dont listen to what they say sometimes they get kind of rough and start hiting on you but its your choice.
