Is a Christian priest open to both males and females?
- Depends on the denomination. Some allow female priests, some don't.
How do people become a Christian priest?
- There are many ways, from studying for several years to simply filling in an online form and paying a fee (the later is a bit dubious to say the least!)
Why Is a Christian priest respected so much?
- Are they? I think all priests of all religions are respected by their congregations; I don't think Christian priests have a monopoly on this.
What jobs does a Christian priest have to do?
- Again, it depends on the denomination, but a generic list is : 'Pastoring' the congregation (caring for their physical, emotional and spiritual wellbeing), overseeing the Communion, officiating at church functions, representing their parish at regional and national level, the list goes on...
what qualitys do u have to have to be successful to be a Christian priest ?
- Have strong belief in Jesus and the bible, have a loving and caring attitude, being non-judgemental, being strong in your convictions, and being open to the possibility that you can be wrong occasionally!
Hope this helps.

There is not a monolithic concept of Christian practice. The practice varies from one group of practitioners to another. Some allow women and some don't. There a schools you can attend that will train you. Most of the schools are run by groups who also teach their particular interpretation which makes them unique. The priests duties vary, in a large congregation some jobs may be specialized such as teaching children or doing outreach work in the community. In smaller congregations a priest will have a wider responsibility. To be successful you should have a calling from God and remember that you serve God.

1. The leader of a christian church is referred to as a Pastor or Preacher.
A Priest is a Catholic leader under the direction of the Pope.
2. The job of leader is attained through study and ordination through an accredited Seminary.
3. Most leaders are respected for their dedication to the study of the Bible. They also gain respect from others by the moral standers they live by.(Not all are respected.)
4. Leaders, depending on the role they choose have many responsibilities. As a Pastor they are required to lead worship at a church, administer the sacraments and teach the Word of God truthfully. They also attend to the well-being of the parishioners and minister to the sick and shut-ins.
Others choose to be teachers. This involves teaching the concepts and theology of religion to others. They also, if ordained fill in as a substitute Preacher in the district near where they are teaching, administering the Sacraments and Preaching the Word of God in truth and love.
Above all the job of Preacher is to teach with love the truth of Jesus Christ.
5. The most important qualities of a Christian Pastor are two-fold, the ability to learn the Bible intuitively and interact with people. If you can't interact with people and speak to them in a non-condescending way, you won't make a good Pastor. The Bible tells us to teach with love and understanding, and to correct the sinner with love and compassion.
God Bless

1. It depends on the denomination...Protestants are open to women priests...Catholics are not.
2. You have to go to Seminary (which is a religious college).
3. They are so respected because the have studied the scriptures and because it's usually seen as a calling to go into the ministry.
4. In the Catholic church the have to say Mass, hear confessions, bless the sick, do baptisms, marriages, confirmations, help people of all sorts...any time of the day or night...who are in need.
5. You have to be called to the office by God.

Christians don't use priests. Catholics and episcopals do. Catholics can't marry, but I think the episcopals, who are essentially catholic in practice but don't recognize the pope, may allow women. I don't think in current times priests as a whole or even the ministry is very respected, due to the rampant sexual misconduct that is apparently going on in many of the different demoninations of christianity as well as catholicism. By the way, I don't count catholic as christian, since they worship a multitude of gods, like Mary and a bunch of saints.

Only men 90% sure. Respected? what is your opinion?Their main job is to sacrafice. I have none . Three girls recieved a prophesy when The Blessed Virgin Mary came to them while saying the rosary. Later two of them died .The Pope later asked the last one what that prophesy was and she whispered it in his ear. He then cried. Some say it was because she said there would be an attempt on his life , which there was. I think the prophesy was that many people would begin to think like AARON.

When you say 'priest' I assume you mean Catholic priest. I'm not a Catholic, but whatever the truth is, you can get it straight from the Bible.

well for starters its not referred to as a Christian Priest. It's referred to as a preacher. Yes it is open to both males and females even though men are usually the most common preachers. A Christian peacher is probably respected so much because he belives in the right stuff and God blesses him with respect because he respects others!
