I too, use poop off, but carefully.... and also I keep a folded quilt type thing over the length of the top, where they usually aim, lol. i can wash it easily. but it IS a great idea to contact the makers of the couch and ask if they have any other ideas.

Hi there. This web site is helpful. Poop is not oil based, but they do have several cleaners that should work very well. http://www.leatherfurnitureshoppe.com/clean.htm If you scroll down, there are also tips. Poop is water soluble. You have such a nice couch. I think it would be worth the investment to purchase the recommended cleaner and conditioner. Prevention may be helpful also. You can purchase a clear drop cloth or even an old sheet which can be laundered will save the integrity of the leather. Have a great day.

Try the moist disposable wipes that are sold for use on Baby's bottoms. They are moistened with lanolin or similar and I use these to keep my leather lounge soft and supple. They are available in the Baby aisle of the supermarket or from chemist shops. They really do work on marks, including bird poop and also look after the leather without leaving it dry or stained from harsh chemicals. Give them a go. They are great, soft on the hands too !!!

The best way to clean leather furniture is to buy the product from a furniture store, after you clean it you will also want to condition it to keep the moisture of the skin and continue that process every 6 - 12 months. MAKE SURE YOU TEST BOTH THE CLEANER AND CONDITION IN A UNVISIBALE PLACE ON THE BACK OF THE SOFA.

Try using Poop-Off. It works great. We also have a leather couch and our Amazon has pooped on it a few times. it comes right off. It even gets it off of Carpet and Walls without a problem.
