Why do 95% of world scientists agree the world is billions of years old?

It very well might be. Some people think that God made the world in a literal 7 days time period. Who on this planet thinks that a day to God is twenty four hours? And all throughout the bible, a Day, is a symbolic figure of an amount of time. So seven days might equal...?

Yeah, like what everyone else said, evidence, you can test rock samples below the earth, in just the near surface crust and see that they are incredably old. Although they of course cant be sure about anything since no one was there, They can also test the aprox age of stars and other planets. If scientists were able to get a little closer to the earths core they might be able to get a closer prediction but they can use math and say bah, 2 billion it is

If you examine dinosaur fossils, they are several millions years old. OK, now we know that the Earth isn't 6,000 years old.

Dig deeper and you find fossils of bacteria that are 4.5 billion years old. If the earth is 6,000 years old, why are the fossils older than the earth they are found on?

Scientists have methods of finding this out; for them, it's logical to think that the earth is 4.6 billion years old.

Every thing about world history bears all total, full and complete evidence that the thousands of years of time involved here is fact inside the bible and outside the bible.
The only unusual creatures that can be found would be those that came to be extinct because of the flood that left and earth that is not life sustaining. So science does not believe in angels that existed first before anything else. WHAT CAN ONE SAY?

It looks that way. God is God. And if God created the universe in 6 days great. Therefore God would know what the earth would look like in a billion years. He can make that kind of earth in one day. And scientists still wouldn't know what hit them because they could never see the difference. God is that good.

All I know is that GOD has control of everything. He is the only one who knows how old the world is. It's because of Him that the scientists have made discoveries. One thing that amazes my husband, is the fact that we are always awed by what science can do these days, like face transplants, and heart transplants, but GOD is even greater than science. Look at how he made us. Look at how our body works, how our nervous system works. God is greater than science. Sorry I got out a little out of context.

Scientists are just that, scientists. They tend to disregard delusional beliefs in ancient middle eastern tales and legends in favor of studies, knowledge, experiments and chalenging theories.
