Old testament girl, old testament. While children are a gift from God, the 'go forth and multiply' was so there would be people on earth. What if Adam and Eve desided they only wanted one child? There wouldn't be a lot of people, now would there?!? Oh, and if we obeyed the bible, there wouldn't be homosexuals.
I think it is humorous that the American Democrat Party supports homosexuality, single children families, and abortion. That party is going to die out quickily! They are either killing their babies, incapable of producing them, or reducing the D population by 1/2!

I shall guess: Texas? There's a right state of affairs.
Lesbians can have their own children or adopt. Gay men can and do adopt. Much more than 'population control', homosexuals are the mothers and fathers of children, many of them unwanted or in dangerous situations. They are the most generous sort of people as well; having experienced incredible biases, obstacles, ridiculous laws and dissension their entire lives has made them stronger and more empathic.
I think the Bible mentions something about a village raising a child. I'm not sure as I am not religious, but it is fitting. I do wish it spoke more about adopting the children that another abandons (or has to abandon) as one's own.

lol - ever been down the city on a Friday night? Plennnnty of would-be goers-forth and multipliers in every nightclub in town :o) But I guess we're all a bit free, given that any unplanned multiplication can be prevented or dealt with. Maybe if every incident of multiplication was unstoppable, there'd be a whole different attitude - lots of healthy people pleasing themselves in their own houses, and nobody letting anyone else get anywhere near them unless they were prepared to support a multiplication.
Might be healthier, but it'd be a bit more dull too, I think.

LOL, that would just be scary.
Everybody would be alike. Things would just seem too boring and different from what we live with today. As many things as I hate about the world, I couldn`t say that I would have it any other way. The diversity is amazing. The tragedies are fascinating and happen for some kind of reason every time. Crime is terrible these days, but it also helps us form better laws and experiences in life.

We do it already.Look at Britain..as soon as a girl has a baby the state throws money (our money) at her in various forms..benefits,credits,handouts etc.No wonder they have more and more children..it pays them to.If family allowance (or whatever they call it now) was restricted to the first child only..people would think twice about having large families.Remember that family in the news a while back..the scroungers had never worked, had a lot of kids and were getting over £30,000 of our hard earned cash as benefits.I bet most of it went on beer and cigarettes. Why not give them vouchers to buy food and clothes for the kids instead??

Think about it this way, if we lived like in the bible, there would not be a lot of unwanted pregnancies or people having multiple partners , orphans. I think God would regulate it the way it should be. I know we are spoiled and it would be hard to give up all the conveniences we have today, but, wouldn't that be so simple and less stress?

We shoot deer when there are 'too many'. We shoot cougars when there are 'too many'. I highly suspect that if there were 'too many' humans, we'd shoot them, too before all the resources ran out.
Oh, wait! We do that already! It's called 'war'.
Overcrowding also leads to an increased incidence communicable disease and a decrease in the amount of services and products available. In a way, it would be a self-regulating thing. However you also have to factor in that the wealthier you are, the greater the resources at your disposal.
Sounds unpleasant to me.

There are a lot of things happening now that we never could have imagined happening if man hadn't turned to sin.

Believe me the consequences of not obeying it are far worse.
Matt.10:28 sums it all up for you. Read it and heed.
