I would like to know which 6x9's would sound the best without a sub or amp. I am unfarmiliar with the specs of 2 way and 8 way. It seems to me if I could get 2400W 8Way speakers that should cover me for not having to have an AMP or Sub. Can anyone please share their knowledge with me???

Please, if you have specific models. I am not really looking for just opinions on brand names. That question has been asked twice. Personal experience would be nice.

Thanks Alex.... So I could hook up an amp, but not have to have a sub if the speakers were good enough, right? Oh and the ones I am looking at are: NEW 2400 WATT 8-WAY DIGITAL 6X9 CAR STEREO SPEAKERS (mitzu)

I was a car stereo installer for several years, and over that time I would have to say that either Infinity Kappa Perfects, or Polk Momo's (for the price range) will be the best bet. As far as 2400 watts for some 6x9's, that is ridiculous. If you ever find a 6x9 that handles that much power, let me know.

By the way, if you don't have an amp to power any of the speakers people have been reccomending, your wasting your time. the speakers are only going to sound as good as the signal you put to them.

Have fun.

I really like Infinity Kappa Perfect Series speakers. They have really nice mids and highs. ALWAYS ALWAYS look at the RMS watt rating. when you see a subwoofer for example that is 6000 watts that is peak power and the speaker never gets to that point same with an amp. So always match up the RMS wattage to your amp and i think you will be more impressed and you won't blow speakers as easily or in the opposite case you won't have to worry about not pushing enough power to them. Also if you are not running an amp to them. Then go with a less expensive model from Best Buy or Circuit City. ALso try www.crutchfield.com they can match your car exactly and give you install tips etc.

you would need a couple amps. 3 4channel. that gives u 12 channels for the 10 6x9s and 2 5.25.
