I have read about the abomination for homosexuality, but forgot the scripture. I have it written down somewhere, though.
Personally, if you're gay, to me, be gay. I see no reason why one should be penalialized and deprived of a sex life. Parents should accept their kids and not give a hard time as well as the church. I would apply the presumption of atheism to your statement (not a personal attack on you) and ask how do you know the mind of God, that God doesn't care, just as I would someone who says God DOES care,

in other words, I find your "belief" just as suspect as those who say God cares about orientation's belief.

So - he knows our "orientation". Our "orientation" is lust. He cares what we do with it.
