Before you answer the story behind the name goes like this: We are having a boy and his original name was going to be Alton Tyler Edwards. But, my wife's brother was involved in a shooting and almost died. While he was in the hospital my wife told him that we were going to name our child after him. Alton is my middle name and also is my late grandfathers name. Her brothers name is Jon Thomas. Do you think it sounds right? I like it but want some feedback. Thanx!

I think its great. My son is named Hayden Cooper. Cooper is after a man who worked with his dad and was killed in a drowning accident trying to save some city workers. I love the fact that children are named after special people. So go for its great!!!!!!!!!

Alton James provided that Alton is unusual and unpopular it is going to certainly be paired with a greater primary call so it wont seem so extraordinary and supply the new child the alternative of going via his center call. different techniques: Alton Jonathan Alton Michael Alton David Alton Finley Alton Nathaniel

Alton Jon is to close to Elton John which as you may know is gay so I might reconsider this and go with Alton Tyler

hi! while I don't usually like commenting on baby names, I couldn't help it on this one lol sorry, just be aware that although it may be before baby's time a fair few people are still going to know who Elton John is and even though spelling may be the same the pronounciation wil make that null and void, and considering Elton John is most definitely and openly gay may cause some grief for your little one, maybe think about rearranging it or otherwise feel free to ignore me lol it's not my child! :) have fun with your beautiful baby though :)

Alton is a silly name. "John Thomas" is a joke name for "penis." Keep thinking. I think you can still honor her brother without setting your child up for teasing.

I know a non native american girl in Washington who dreamed about 2 birds walking on stilts the night before she gave birth. You guessed it! I am sure that the child will forgive her some your day. Think of what the kids will do to to him with a name like that & pray for forgivness unless you live in the DEEP south.
