I think it's mainly lack of ambition and lack of parenting. Growing up, my parents had to know where I was going, who I was going with, how I was getting home and demanded I be home by a certain time. If I broke the rules, I was punished. Of course I found ways to bend the rules, there's only so much good parenting can do but I would never dream of being violent towards anyone else. I also had more respect for myself, I had dreams, I wanted to go somewhere in life. Not everyone has good parents though. Some kids have parents who'd rather get drunk or parents more interested in their career than their child. You get out what you put in and if you don't put enough care and attention into your child (care and attention isn't just cuddles and chats, care and attention also means discipline and teaching them right from wrong) then of course they'll go off the rails. I think a bit of teenage rebellion is healthy and normal but not when there's violence involved. I really don't think there's an easy answer. There's no such thing as a baby license which means children are being neglected all around the world with nobody to care enough about teaching them morals. Anyone can have a baby but being a good parent is another matter.

The media glamorizes everything you just mentioned. And I would suppose a break down in family values and lack of good parenting compounds the problem. Even if you are a good parent, their friends' parents may not be, and friends are a huge influence in teens lives. As far as prevention--my answer won't be popular but I'll say it anyway: Try to get kids involved in a good youth group at a church you value.

I agree with you. I think the youths today are off key! But its not really their fault, I think they are influenced wrongly. For instance, films that they may watch in the cinema, for example the recent films "bulletboy" and "kidulthood" are an awful influence on them. I think tv and film are not regulated well enough. And I think this may be a big problem in the future. I am only 20 but I fear for my kids.

of direction no longer. drugs, intercourse, (which isn't even undesirable and destroys no person, yet extremely pleases human beings and creates existence), and violence have existed long till now Rap song became even invented. there have been situations in historic previous the place Black human beings, no longer purely Black youths, lived worse lives while Rap in no way existed. Now, at those situations, there have been actual plots to break Black human beings. With the existence of Rap, many Black youths supply you the possibility to education their rapping skills and make funds off it, which easily helps Black little ones. in many situations, such songs approximately drugs and violence mirror how residing frequently is for Black youths that grew up in the ghetto and how specific drugs can relieve the strain of growing to be up in such environments, or sometimes, help improve funds to get out of them. those are problems that existed for Blacks ever on the grounds that till now the great melancholy using racism. it incredibly is not continuously a "glorification," yet extremely "ghetto reporting" by using song. that isn't to assert that some Black youths could be "wrongly" prompted by using Rap, yet all of us could be "wrongly" prompted by using something. yet, that would not equate to a "plot" present to break all of us, merely damaging determination-making.

Sex being the exception...

thats nature will always be like that as humans were supposed to live to an average age of 30 as in the third worls.

therefore matematically you would need to get pregnant in mid teens to ensure you could live long enough to bring the kid up to being somehow able to look after itself before something ate you,l

Now we live longer... biology is the same

As for the rest much of that is hip hop culutre which sucks...

rock/metal. goth/ psitrance hippy backpacker cultures aint into all that tripe...

At most fairly harmless drug culture ie a little dop or at most ecstasy which may put you at some risk but you wont hurt others... more like hug them and say their lovely

Your brother is in with a sick culture that supports pecking orders and hurting people to feel big...

f he was into extreme sports ie snowboarding etc he prob would not be like that as would have better ways to show how big he was.

You should get your dad to get a video... tie him up, beat him up then show him the video and ask

Is this funny now?

How do you like it...

he would be doing him a favour as if bro stays with sick mates he will end up in prision, or dead due to gangs...

As said psi trance lot

www.accessallareas.org.

dont think like that

He needs to understand the diff between boys and men and respect and fear.

If peopl fear you as you are big... people will do what you say but if you are on fire or dying they wont even piss on you to put out the fire.

If they respect you... You dont need to threaten them... people like you.

And if you were dying or on fire thay would take your place or offer a kidney or get burnt putting out the firse

Likewise boys want to hurt others to feel big...

Men look after others which takes more guts...

Your brother is a coward...

how many to one?

nuff respect... not

hi,
the kid of today just like the kids of my day are very ealilk influenced by what they see and what they hear. if all he sees or hears in this stuff then that is what he/she thinks is alright. it is up to use to make sure that they know that there is so much more out there then what they sees on the video and in the shows that they watch. you have be a role model for him.

its the parents fault... they should know that teenagers rebel so all you have to do is get mum and dad to see how cool it is to get mashed.. a bit of weed and a few pills and sign them up for a swinging s&m club.. problem solved.. it worked for my daughter
