Ive done a few bathroom remodels, and if you have and option nowadays you want to go with white ceramic or natural stone look type tiles, these are much easier to find paint colours to compliment and yor can always change the look in a few years with just your paint and fabrics. Not to mention these colours keep the space open and fresh looking which is what you want in a bathroom.

I've just had my bathroom tiled from floor to ceiling in a large beige/cream tile, neutral colour always works best then you can add a splash of colour with accessories & you wont got bored with it!

If new, I would go with light beiges, off whites and the like as you could work with any color scheme of bath towels, curtains, rugs, etc. I like the soft light rose/beige myself. That way you can even find lineoleum or other floor material to match.

Depends upon your taste and the colour of the suite. Something that keeps it light and makes it seem clean and inviting
