Well sweetie you're boyfriend knows your situation, so I'm pretty sure he's not expecting you to go all out. The good thing about Valentine's day that you don't have to personalize any gifts. Give him something simple, like balloons, or candy. It's more for woman than for men I think. So he'll be happy no matter what he gets. Good luck hon!

Well, if he would appreciate something that you put alot of your own hard work and time into, then I suggest:

Get alot of photos of you two, and make a collage with a valintines theme. Put some hearts and maybe write some sweet love inspired messages on it. Just make something very sentimental and maybe get a nice flower and attach it. Just an idea, thats very cheap but can mean alot.

This could be a question based on how sensitive he is, or how sensitive he shows himself to be. Mix tapes - quite cliche but maybe quite nice. Maybe a cuddly toy. I've never actually received one, although i wouldn't mind - then again, I have gay tendencies lol.

You could make him a photo montage. Put some nice messages on it.

This is a tough question which I think your friends would be better at answering.

sounds exactly like me and my girl. (her b-day is V-day) i completely understand that she doesn't have much money to spend and i expect nothing from her when i get her stuff. you could just show him you love him and write him a poem or make him a cake. guys like food.
