It sounds like Keratosis Pilaris (KP) is a very common genetic skin condition (hair follicles) often compared to goose bumps and chicken skin. You can see it on arms, face (cheeks), thighs and buttocks ( any body part except palms or soles). There are several different types of keratosis pilaris:
keratosis pilaris rubra (red inflamed and irritated bumps)
keratosis pilaris alba (rough bumpy skin with no irritation)
keratosis pilaris rubra faceii (red/pink rash on the cheeks)
Doctors normaly recomend the usage of urea and lactic acid creams and lotions to soften the bumps (Betamide lotion,
Am-Lactin XL this are some over the counter medicated lotion and creams that can help)....this normaly help...but If it doesn't, I have seen Atopiclair (a priscription) can also help...You may go to your local dermatologis for that prescription....Good Luck!!!!

Just think of your legs probably have little bumps called cysts which are tiny annoying little bumps caused by dried skin. Usually they will go away, but sometimes they can take forever to get rid of. Cysts are basically like little bumps that have little balls of clogged oil in your skin. So...

To get rid of them is probably by using a body scrub which will get some of those bumps to deminish.

As a result, that should cure it! =)

I believe I have the same skin condition. If the bumps are red and tend to turn your legs a purplish color, it may be Keritosis Piliaris. You can get a medicated lotion prescribed by your dermatologist. From my own experience, the lotion does not clear it away, but the lotion helps smooth out the bumps. Your legs may remain the red/purple color.

You really need to read "Banish My Bumps" by Angela Steinberg (also available in electronic format here: http://www.banishbumps.com ). It's about how to permanently cure your Keratosis Pilaris naturally. I was able to clear my skin in only 7 days after reading this.

Stop paying paying each month good money on creams. This is exactly what the pharmaceutical industry wants you to do! They want to milk money from you each month.

Sounds to me like shaving irritation. Try a soothing shave gel with aloe vera next time you shave and exfoliate with a loofah and shower gel everytime you shower/bath.

I am not sure what they are called but I get them on my upper arms, my dermatologist told me to just loofa and it should help, if not I would go see a dermatoligist!
