Maybe you have too much on your mind? Before you go to bed, try to clear your mind of any thoughts that might keep you awake, and try not to think about going to sleep.

Good luck

I have the same problem. Try setting a "bed time" every day. Not like a permanent every night one or anything. take 4 benadryl an hour before you want to go to bed. When that starts to kinda hit ya take 10 millagrams of melatonin and turn off all the lights and crawl into bed. You'll be awake for about 10 minutes before you finally get tired but it works. Try it for a couple nights. If it still doesnt work, go to walgreens and invest in Sleep MD. It's some amazing stuff. $16.99 a box.

Well Joe that seems to be one of the biggest problems on here, and i will tell you now do not take anything to help you sleep, cause once you quit taking it then you will find you have a larger sleeping problem. I do believe that the world is going so fast today, that everyone is keeping their minds so busy, that by bedtime, they are still haveing racing thoughts. You really need ot learn how to relax and let things go, and once you have learned that, it will make it easier to get some sleep.

if you have ruled out too much caffiene then you may want to try journaling... yes, i know it sounds stupid but if i just sit for 2 -5 minutes and write out everything i need to do tomorrow and some of my bigger worries, i sleep much better. you also may want to try sleeping alone (if this doesn't apply, i apologize) as when you are having trouble as it is and sleep with a partner, their movement and snoring (again, if this applies) will wake you up easier than usual. hope this helps
