I have cheast congestion and a really bad,deep cough.I just coughed,and the mucus came up,with alittle blood/redish stuff in it?Is that normal?

It wasn't alot of blood,just a little bit.and it was just one time,and I haven't done it anymore since.

Thats what my mom told me,but I just wanted to be sure.I seem to be over-sensitive about everything.

Forgot to mention,I am taking Mucinex for kids,cough drops and these little pouch for everyday usage to help the immune system.

That's very normal, and it's a good thing it's coming up although I wouldn't be too careful about even a "simple" chest congestion. I've been dealing with similar problems for a month now, deep coughs and everything. I had thought it might have been a severe case of bronchitis, but as it turned out I actually had pneumonia. Be sure to get it checked out if you haven't already. Hope you feel better!

No that is not normal. You must have a real bad cold to be coughing that hard. Keep a eye on it if it continues then you may need to contact your doctor. Start taking something to avoid the cough as much as you can. Hope you feel better

You are OK. The back of your throat might be raw and bleeding from the coughing, or you may have had a bloody nose and the mucus drained to your throat. Don't worry about it.

Yes, your blood vessels in your nose could rupture and cause it to look like more blood than it is.... I have had sinus problems since I was six months old... and I am battleing it now too, nothing to worry about

It is normal to have some blood. You just tore some tissue that's all.

no Its not normal...u should do chest x ray to diagnose...if it will not diagniose , u should bronchoscopy , MRI ,CT...
