You've not wired it up properly, you should have a constant live memory wire it will be marked, this needs to be wired to a live wire anywhere on the car but if theres a block connector at the back of the cd player it should already be there.
Good luck

Sounds like your power wire is hooked up to your ignition wire. Try to find a wire that is hot with the ignition off then hook your radio power wire to that, this will keep all of your settings when car is turned off, but you will still need the wire that turns off when the car is tured off so that you can hook your secondary wire from your radio to that, this will let the rdio turn off when the car is turned off, but your settings will still be saved. Hope I was able to help. Good Luck

SWOP THE YELLOW AND RED WIRE AROUND, DID YOU BUY AN ALPINE?
ONE IS THE CONSTANT LIVE THIS SAVES THE MEMORY AND SETTINGS THE OTHER IS LIVE WHEN THE IGNITION IS ON.
BASICALLY YOUR MEMORY IS ONLY ACTIVE WHEN YOUR IGNITION IS LIVE SO SWOP THAT WITH THE OTHER LIVE.
IF YOU HAVE BOUGHT AN ALPINE THE SOCKET SON THE BACK OF YOUR RADIO FIT PERFECT, SO YOU THOUGHT SIMPLE PLUG AND PLAY!!
WELL ACTUALLY IF MY MEMORY RECALLS THE WIRES RED AND YELLOW NEED TO BE REVERSED AND YOU WILL FIND IT TO BE OK.
