My cousin said her Aunt's baby, Faith has been running and talking since she was 4 months old. This just doesn't sound right to me and not only that, but she "claims" Annabella, my 14 month old niece, can't walk, talk, or even crawl! I think this has gone way too far!

She's full of crap. Cracks me up when people exaggerate what their children are doing to make someone else worry about theirs.

When I first read that I thought "Wow, Faith must be really bowlegged." A baby's leg bones are too soft to support the weight of walking and running at 4 months. Your cousin has no idea what she's talking about.
It sounds like she's trying to make you either look like a bad parent or Annabella look like a 'handicapped' kid. Either way, I think that you should probably limit the time you spend with this cousin because she's way off base.

4months wow lol, sounds very dodgy!! My son took his first steps at 6 1/2 months and I was told this was extremely early especially for a boy ( he was running at 8months), as for talking maybe she is confusing baby babble lol, I have a friend who's son is 6 months older than mine and she makes everything a competition between our children with talking clothes shoes even their illnesses! I think that some people sadly are just so competitive that they feel the need to compete even at baby levels.

your cousins a liar, i hate super competitive moms, theres no need to prove one kid is better than another.ive got two kids and friends with kids, cousins and all, it aint happenin' at 4mos, i have seen a 8month old walk though. and your niece probably can she just doesnt. my daughter did that for awhile she had everyone around usthinking she couldnt walk or talk, but she did when it was jsut me and her, shes like that now, talks to who she wants when she wants.

I dunno, but I spoke my first words at 6 months. Real words, like dada, mama, bottle, etc. No one believed my parents until they heard me. I havent shut up since lol.
My brother cut teeth at 4 months. Walking and talking sounds like a lot, but who knows. I dont have much room to doubt it.

I think your cousin is just being full of gossip. If it is true about your niece, I would make sure that they have had something done to help her, if they can.
