I like to bowl and I'm going to the mall and then to a roller skating rink with my friends and bf for my birthday. Is that bad?

Seriously, you are doing great already. I like it because it's creative. Ice skating and maybe hot chocolate or starbucks-like place to relax afterward? The last date I went on was "dinner and a movie." The guy wasn't too creative and he was 22! The guy before that? Watched a movie at his house, and he was 32. That sounds super sweet, though if she's not open to it, another fun first date thing is bowling. :D Keep up the good work!

Why would it be weird that something fun to do instead of a movie like most people do. This way you spice things up and do something fun and different.

at the same time? oh yeah.... but bring a video camera - lots of fun.
anyway, i guess it depends on your age and how well you do either. going out is going out - not that romantic though.
