Hagar was a concubine she was a wife to help out with the work and sometimes have sex w/Abraham according to the Bible, she was told by Sarah to have sex w/Abraham because Sarah was barren and had a baby boy and when Sarah had Isacc Hagar's son was making fun of him and was jealous and Sarah made Hagar and her son leave. Her son is supposedly the start of the Arab race and why he is fighting w/the Jewish race is he thought he should be an heir to Abraham's blessings.

Yes, she was a bondservant, given to Sari (Sarah) by the King that wanted to marry her until he found out he had been deceived by Abram(Abraham).
Once Sarah gave hagar to Abraham to give birth to a child, she bacame his wife, but was still bonded to Sarah.
Sarah's postition as hagars mistress did not change, and when she wanted Hagar gone, Abraham with Gods blessing sent her away with the male child, not without money and possessions in order to take care of themselves.
At the point that Hagar was sent away with Ishmael, she bacame a free woman and no longer bonded to her mistress Sarah.

Of sorts, she was a maidservant. Tended to the needs of Sarai (Abraham's wife) and to the running of household needs.
