I hear constantly that Illegal Immigrants are taking the jobs from US Citizens that WANT to work. I'd like to know the jobs that they are taking from us that the unemployed would like to be hired for??

Large chains like walmart, that are "very competitive", (not that I've noticed) cannot hire illegals. You have to file plenty of paper work stating it.

You people need to start worrying about more important things. As for the woman who only chose jobs like "fruit picking, and dishwasher, and factory worker" maybe you need to alternate your line of work. I'm sure a receptionist position would be better for a "white woman" as you call yourself. I've been going to college for several years now and since I was fourteen my jobs were not unlike any of the jobs mexicans have , waitress, busgirl, etc.. and I've never had a problem with a mexican taking over my job. Maybe people are just tired of all the high and mighty people like u, who think u are better than others, and yeah, there willalways be illegals in the country, that is what AMERICA is about, and yeah it sucks.. but at least most of the Mexicans, (since apparently they are the only ones that threaten your jobs) don't really bother anyone and are respectful and just try to live a normal life. Maybe U should get a college edu. and U wont have to worry about a mexican takin ur job!!

My job requires a license so I have never worried about an illegal taking my job, what I don't like is paying for them to churn out babies, and our schools turning into dumps.
Big corporations do hire illegals, the paperwork is imperfect and many illegals have stolen social security cards so the company has no way of knowing.
Why should any American citizen have to alternate their line of work? So someone who does not belong in the country can have it? Does that sound like a college educated answer to you?
There will probably always be illegals in America, but that is not what America is all about and someone who is educated would clearly know that.

Seriously, I work for Greenhouse growers, the work is seasonal, we have a regular crew, but when planting season begins in feb., new employees are hired by word of mouth, you see 13 out of 16 employees are illegal. The illegals bring in their brothers, sisters, cousins, aunts, uncles, mothers, fathers, and friends to apply for the few positions that are open. The company has not advertised in the want adds for at least 10 years. It is so stick your head in the sand to think that they don't take jobs from legals.

My brother-n-law is in construction and went to help out in New Orleans. He was replaced as soon as the illegals came in because they worked for cheaper. I was working in a place where they fired all that worked in our positions to sub-contract them out to a person who hired only illegals because that way the company didn't have to offer benefits etc. In neither instance did they offer any of them a different "deal" in order to keep working.....just bye-bye and brought in the illegals.

The fact that so many are refusing to learn English it is also making it hard for people who are educated and experienced and bi-lingual (but just don't speak Spanish), to get any jobs in the public sector in this area. We have MANY other immigrants in this area but just about every job states "must speak Spanish". So there are uneducated, inexperienced people getting jobs they are not qualified to do just because they speak Spanish.

Take Construction for example. They are doing work for 3$ per hour, that normally cost 12-15, and taxes. Difficult to get job.
Also, autorepairs, mom pops grocery shops, and even large chains like WalMart (Jobs are very competitive there).

Thats only I guess 1 %, many more to list.

My friend works with a false SS# and under a different name than hers. She works in a factory. I guess there are many US citizens and legal permanent residents that want that job.

*Edit* Nature Girl, you should come forward and blow the whistle on them. Is that not the patriotic thing for you to do?
