OK so I went to a few dances around my valley! and i had this boy who would not leave me alone and wouldn't let me dance with other people- its kind crazy i mean he just wants me to be his and no one elses but its a little bit over bearing- what should i do or should i just take it as a compliment and let it go?

If you meet him at a dance again, and he starts to follow you around and become overbearing, and it bothers you, try to avoid him, by talking with other friends, taking breaks for the restroom. If you had another guy beside you he might get the idea more quickly that you are "just friends". This is the subtle approach.
You are in the driver's seat, and if you want to dance with other guys, just do it. You can level with him, talk to him, tell him how you feel, and that you don't want to hurt his feelings, and you feel complimented, but you need some space and would like some room to "mingle" with other friends/guys. At the moment, it's more a compliment than stalking - probably let it go.
